Visits

Departing from Royan or Verdon-sur-Mer, your excursion will last about 4 hours.

That’s it, you’ve arrived! At the lighthouse, the lighthouse keepers will welcome you and will be available to answer your questions.

The lighthouse visit lasts 1 hour 30 minutes on average. It is a free visit, and you will receive a guidebook which presents the history and particularities of this exceptional place.

Access to the tower is contingent upon the number of visitors and can be limited to 30 minutes. In that case visitors must remain patient while waiting to enter that part of the lighthouse. Trust the lighthouse keepers! They will change the duration of your visit according to the number of visitors. You can freely visit the crown in addition to the tower.

During the high season, a presentation in the crown room is given and specific guided visits are organized regularly. Guided visits in English are also available upon reservation and depending on the capacity of the group.

Treasure hunt

Are you visiting as a family? Discover the lighthouse while having fun!

Children (accompanied by at least 1 adult) look for 6 clues hidden at the monument. There is a puzzle to solve in each clue (rebus, charade…). Once all the puzzles are solved, the treasure is yours!

For children 6 to 11 years of age. The booklet costs 3 € and can be purchased from the lighthouse keepers.
