Against micropollutants, the match is being played at home
At Cordouan’s lighthouse, every small gesture matters.
Located in the middle of the estuary, the monument is in direct contact with aquatic environments. To protect those areas, we try our best to keep eco-friendly habits : it can go from rainwater harvesting to choosing eco-friendly cleaning products or have a limited use of ressources.
We want to share with you the MATCH campaign launched by the SMIDDEST manager of the lighthouse. It reminds us how micropollutants can have a lasting effect on aquatic environments, but also that simple gestures at home can limit their presence.
Getting informed, adapting one’s habits, or spreading good gestures are all actions that can help preserve together the water’s quality and the estuary’s rich environment.
To be widely spread around you !
Let’s come together to change our habits !
The good news is : we can all reduce those rejections. But how ?
- Focus on simple products with certifications one can trust and with a short list of ingredients;
- Respect the use conditions (using only recommended doses)
- Not throw away meds, wipes (even biodegradable) or cigarette butts in the street.
