Tèrra Aventura Cordouan en VUE(s) !

Hi friends!
Did you hear? The Cordouan lighthouse has joined the prestigious UNESCO World Heritage List!
To celebrate this, a weekend of celebration called “Cordouan en VUE(s)!” is planned for September 25 and 26. The Poï’z don’t want to miss it and will be at the mouth of the Gironde estuary from September 26 to November 7. They are getting ready to show you Cordouan… and much more…

The Poïz's have Cordouan in sight !

Do you know Tèrra Aventura?

It’s a treasure hunt connected to a free application. Dive into a captivating universe, full of Poï’z, small characters with strong personalities, to be flushed out thanks to QR codes to be flashed at the end of the courses.
Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Cordouan lighthouse has piqued Zaméla’s curiosity! She plans to walk between Royan and Le Verdon-sur-Mer from September 26 to November 7, 2021 and her program is quite busy:

Practical information

Discovering the mouth of the estuary

The course extends on both banks of the estuary, from Royan to Verdon-sur-Mer. The first riddles are close to the city center of Royan. You will have to take the ferry to reach Verdon-sur-Mer and then return to your starting point.

I leave my car. 4km on foot… easy!

Leave your car in Royan or Le Verdon-sur-Mer. The parking lots are free.
Come by public transport and see the page Access to the lighthouse. The departure is about 1.5 km from the train station of Royan.
Camping cars can also park in Royan or Le Verdon

I take the ferry. Swimming is too long…

In case of bad weather, I subscribe to the ferry alerts
Important : check the ferry schedule ! Leave early enough to avoid getting stuck on one side of the estuary. Show up 30 minutes in advance, some boats can fill up quickly.
It is not necessary to present a health pass to access the Gironde ferries.
