Saturday, October 23, discover crabs, starfish, blue-green algae and other creatures that inhabit the rocky foreshore of Cordouan, in the company of Thomas, one of the lighthouse keepers.
(c) MLC – SMIDDEST
Usually, at Cordouan, the lighthouse keepers welcome visitors at the foot of the lighthouse when they arrive by boat, giving them a presentation of the monument, before letting them discover the place on their own.
Would you like to benefit from the comments of one of the inhabitants of the lighthouse for you (almost) alone? Then these guided thematic tours are for you! Thomas offers you the opportunity to discover Cordouan and its rocky plateau, for one hour, in a small group.
When you arrive at Cordouan, the lighthouse keepers will welcome you and let you visit the interior of the lighthouse on your own (30′). Once you have climbed the 301 steps and admired the view of the Gironde estuary, you will discover the rocky plateau with Thomas (45′). So keep your eyes open and try to see the hermelles, mussels, shrimps and other species that live at the foot of the lighthouse!
The number of places for this discovery of the rocky plateau is limited to 15 people, to allow a better quality of visit.
Price: 5€ (in addition to the classic ticket): payment by check (payable to the Trésor Public) or cash only. Payment for the guided tour will be made at the foot of the lighthouse to one of the SMIDDEST agents (please bring a deposit).
Reservation with SMIDDEST at 05 57 42 28 76 or by email at email@example.com.
For this visit, please bring comfortable clothes adapted to walk with your feet in the water and/or on the rocks (old shoes…).
